This is going to be our loading position, which will be great for any time you're loading a wheelchair, scooter, or any type of yard equipment or anything like that onto your carrier. It's going to be much easier than trying to load it on a regular carrier that has the four walls all the way around. It's easy to push it up onto our carrier using that ramp here. So, this is our first of four positions. We're going to show you each of them today. more

Curt Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2010 GMC Yukon c18110

Today on this 2010 GMC Yukon, we're going to be test fitting the 20x48 Curt cargo carrier, Part Number C18110. This cargo carrier has a 300 pound carrying capacity, and it also has this mesh floor which makes it easy to clean. Around the borders of this cargo carrier are these points here which you can use as tie downs for either your ratchet straps or your bungee cords. I'm going to go ahead and give you some measurements real quick. With the cargo carrier where it's at measuring from the bumper to the edge here, we've added about 28-1/2 inches to the rear of the vehicle. For our ground clearance to this point here at the bottom of the bolt, that's about 24-3/4 inches. At our closest point to this edge here, that would be about 8-1/2 inches. The exhaust on this vehicle is going to be on the passenger side and actually faces away from the cargo carrier, and since it has that raised shank anyway, I don't think you really have to worry about any heat sensitive material being placed in your cargo carrier at all. Now with nothing loaded up, of course we have full access to our rear hatch to get whatever it is we need. more
